Fees and Reimbursement
During an initial consultation at my practice, we can gain a first impression of one another and discuss the next steps of a possible collaboration.
My fees are based on the German fee schedule for psychotherapists (GOÄ/GOP). One session (50 minutes) is charged at €134.06 (GOP 812a: 2 × 25 minutes, factor 2.3). The invoice I provide can then be submitted to your private health insurance or Beihilfe for reimbursement.
Private Health Insurance / Beihilfe/ Self-Paying Clients
The costs of psychotherapy are generally covered by private health insurance and/or Beihilfe (state aid for civil servants). Coverage depends on whether psychotherapeutic treatment is included in your insurance contract.
For self-paying clients, the following advantages apply: no administrative procedures, greater anonymity, and no formal psychological diagnosis. Therapy costs may be claimed for tax purposes as extraordinary expenses in accordance with § 33 EStG.
Statutorily insured patients
If you are covered by statutory health insurance and are interested in psychotherapy with me, there is a possibility that the costs of treatment may be reimbursed by your statutory health insurance fund under the cost reimbursement procedure in accordance with Section 13 (3) of the German Social Code V (SGB V).
I would be happy to support you with the application process. Please note that the initial consultation cannot be reimbursed.
